Paradigm’s Responsive Behaviour & Safety Workers provide consistent one-on-one support for residents living with dementia, cognitive changes, or responsive behaviours.

Our RBSWs use calm, compassionate communication and evidence-informed engagement techniques to help reduce distress, support emotional regulation, and create a sense of safety and trust.

In situations where a resident is at increased risk of falls or injury, RBSWs provide continuous presence, gentle redirection, and environmental awareness to reduce risk and enhance overall wellbeing.

This is a non-clinical, trauma-informed role that works under the direction of nursing staff as part of the home’s care team.
